A memorial funeral mass for James Weinert, age 78, of Madisonville, will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, November 11, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Madisonville. Mr. Weinert passed away on November 6, 2017 at his home.

James Joseph Weinert was born on May 10, 1939 in Omaha Nebraska to Carl & Florence (Waulkenhauer) Weinert. He grew up in Omaha and attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska where he received a Bachelors Degree. James worked as an executive in the oil and gas industry. He enjoyed flying single engine planes, riding motorcycles and camping. James had lived in Madisonville for the past twenty years, coming from Spring, Texas. He was very active in Senior Meals for nine years, always calling everyone before he came to bring their meals. He would also sing songs to them and knew most of their birthdays.

James was preceded in death by both of his parents and brother, Jerry Weinert. He is survived by wife, Patricia (Kelly) Weinert of Madisonville; daughters, Natalie Murphy, Dianne Weinert and Kelly Mego and brother, Daniel Weinert. James is also survived by grandchildren, John David Murphy, Krystle DeLeon, Tabitha Murphy, Ross Martin, Jessica Veal, Xue-lin Wienert and Joseph Nelson, as well as, great grandchildren, Nathan DeLeon, Ayden Britton, Elizabeth Murphy, Jameson Murphy, Lake DeLeon, Barrett Martin, Savannah Martin and one great granddaughter on-the-way.
