Mrs. Mary Ahearn, 120 South Locust steret, received word Friday evening of the sudden death of her son, Edward Joseph, who passed away at East St. Louis. The deceased had been making his home there for the past year. He was born in this city Jan. 10, 1880, and received his education in the Dubuque schools. His mother, two brothers, John and Patrick, and one sister, Mayme, are left to mourn his death. The funeral will be held from his mother's home to the Cathedral Sunday morning at 9:30 and interment will be made in Mt. Olivet.

REMAINS OF YOUNG MAN WHO DIED IN ST. LOUIS LAID IN MT. OLIVET.
The funeral of Joseph E. Ahearn, who died at East St. Louis, was held Sunday morning at 9:30 o'clock from the home of his mother, 120 South Locust street, to the Cathedral. Rev. Father Brady officiated at the services at the church and also at the grave in Mt. Olivet. The pall bearers were Lou Murphy, Walter Madden, Robt. Halpin, Frank Lyons, J.J. Shea and Frank Donahue.
