In 1827, he moved with his large family from Stephentown, NY, to Sempronius, Cayuga County, NY. Then in 1835 moved to Phelphs, Ontario County, NY. That is where he met his wife, Harriet Drum, He owned land in Manchester, NY, where he lived next door to his Father-in-Law, William Z Drum. Then removed to Greece, NY, where he lived out the rest of his life. In 1875 he was elected Justice of the Peace. He had only one child, daugher, Elizabeth "Betsey" Ann Davis.
