Other survivors include his children; Krishna Hatfield of Bainbridge, William “Will” (Becky) Hatfield of South Salem, Joshua (Spanky) Corcoran of Chillicothe, seven grandchildren; Lesley Scaggs, Lacy Spurlock, Todd Routte, Levi Minney, Willy Wheaton, Felicia Steele and Jonsea Hatfield, eleven great-grandchildren; Lester, Kendall and Ava Corcoran, Ledger and Dax Scaggs, Maycee Lawhorn, Laylee and Oaklee Blevins, Nelli and Carlie Minney and Addison Martindale, three sisters; Carol (Jeff) Swift of Ocean Springs, MS, Hester Hatfield of South Salem, Joy (Fred) Ebersole of Andover, OH, two brothers; Jim (Elaine) Hatfield of Greenfield and Dean (Marsha) Hatfield of South Salem. He was preceded in death by one brother; Bill Hatfield.
Lester was a graduate of Paint Valley High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He retired in 1983 as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic. He was a member of the Bainbridge American Legion.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 in the SMITH-MOORE-EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Bainbridge. Family and friends may visit with Lester’s family from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home on Friday. Cremation will follow, and burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Twin Township Cemetery in Bourneville where military honors will be accorded by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.
