Sophie passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 90. She was born and raised in Turin, Alberta. At the age of 18, she decided to move to Edmonton. Her first job was a seamstress.
In 1958, she married Jim Hamilton and they started their married life together in Edmonton. The Diamond Spring Lodge in Redwater was her home for the last two years.
Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Jim, in July of 2017. Sophie is survived by son; Charles, daughter; Sharon (Bob) Hrycun and grandchildren; Amanda and Tyler. She will be cremated and there will be no memorial service as per Sophie's request
