Services were held at Summers Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Jones presiding. Burial was in Mound Cemetery.
Mr. Sempsrott was born in Jasper County, the son of Charles and Elmira (Stifle) Sempsrott. His wife, Effie Mabel preceded him in death in Aug. 1981.
He was a laborer; a World War I veteran; and served in Co. "H" 22nd. Engineer corps of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a son, Loren, Westland, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Roberta Fields, Olney; two grandchildren, Glenna Sempsrott and Gerald Fields; several reat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, four brothers, Fred, Guy, Raymond, and Cleo; and three sisters, Emma, Lelia, and Naomi.
