Allen Lawson Barber- 22, passed from mortal to immortal Friday, July 13, 2018 afternoon at the tender age of 22 Years, 4 months and 3 days. He had battled Ewing's Sarcoma cancer for the past 4 years.

Allen was a gifted pianist and song writer. He composed a Christmas cantata "His Name Is Wonderful" and numerous gospel songs, many of which have already been published in southern gospel songbooks. One in particular has received many accolades and is destined to become an anthem of Christians, "I Have Victory" which will be his lasting legacy.

Allen's greatest accomplishment was his gift to play the piano. He toured all across the south spreading the good news and hope we have in Jesus Christ. Allen always strived to remind people that LIFE IS A GIFT!!

Allen is survived by:His mother Sheree Schilling Barber, father Acy Allen Barber, brother Benjamin Barber, brother Nicholas Barber. His maternal grandparents Lawson Schilling and Peggy Schilling of Bogalusa, LA. His paternal grandparents are the late Gwin and Patricia Barber of Franklinton, LA.

Memorial services will be held at East Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 185 CR 1503, Baldwyn, MS 38824

Visitation Monday evening at East Mt. Zion Baptist Church, July 16, 2018 6:00-9:00 P.M.

Resuming Tuesday Morning at 9:00 A.M.until celebration time at 11:00 A.M. Waters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
