Danny “Bruce” Fife, 51, of War, WV, died Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC, following a short illness. He was the Superintendant of the Baystone Coal Tipple at Cucumber, WV, for the last 23 years. He was of the Pentecostal Faith and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Bruce was born April 22, 1961 in Welch, WV, a son of the late Benton Edward Fife (1927-1995) and Virginia "Jennie" Stewart-Fife (1929-2009). In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, James Thomas Fife (1957-2012).

Survivors include his fiancée, Theresa Hardy of War, WV; three daughters, Heather Fife-Driscoll and husband Paul Driscoll Jr. of Princeton, WV, Jami Fife-Harmon and husband Stephen Harmon also of Princeton, and Danielle Fife and fiancé Donnie Hicks of Berwind, WV; one brother, Ralph Edward Fife and wife Vicky Fife of Jolo, WV; two sisters, Deanna Fife and fiancé Wayne Ward of Richlands, VA, and Pauline Fife-Christian and husband Ray Christian of Jolo, WV; and six grandchildren, Cadence Driscoll, Sylas Driscoll, Adyn Dunford, Kimber Dunford, and Tailor Harmon all of Princeton, WV; and Landon Hicks of Berwind, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 11:00 with Pastor Randy Campbell and Pastor Charles Rose officiating at the Berwnd Pentecostal Center in Berwind, WV. Burial will follow in Grandview Memory Gardens on the Bluefield/Tazewell Road in Bluefield, VA.
