VIRGIL E. BLOOMFIELD
(1931-1991)

Bucyrus - Virgil E. Bloomfield, 59, of 530 Pfahler Ave. died Friday evening in the Heartland of Bucyrus after a two-month illness.

He was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Camp Dix, Ky., to Ralph and Mary Ann Conley Bloomfield.

He worked at Anchor Swan for 40 years and he attended the Laurel School in Camp Dix. He was a member of AmVets Post 127, VFW Post 1078 and the Bucyrus Moose Lodge 669. As a younger man, he enjoyed fishing and bowling.

Surviving are a daughter, Debra Brause of Charlotte, N.C.; a son, Daniel Bloomfield of Bucyrus; four grandchildren, Jesse and Seth Brause and Jennifer and Daniel Bloomfield II; a brother, William Bloomfield of Camp Dix; seven sisters, Margie Jett of Augusta, Ky., Audrey Barnes and Leona Barnes of Courtenay, N.D., Ada Fannin, Virginia Cameron and June Luck of Morris, Ill., and Doris Hardeman of Vanceburg, Ky.

Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the Bucyrus Moose Lodge on Sunday at 6:45 p.m. Calling hours also will be observed at the Gaydo Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Ky., on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Laurel Point Christian Holiness Church in Camp Dix, Ky., by Elwood Bloomfield. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery.
