The couple, who resided at 1905 N. 31st Place, drowned in a flash flood last Friday at Apache Lake. The body of Mr. Mayberry has not been found.
Mr. Mayberry was a self-employed landscape gardener. Born in Magazine, Ark., he moved to Phoenix 30 years ago. His survivors include a son, Claude, of Ontario, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Ballard of Orangevale, Calif.; eight half-brothers and three half-sisters, all out of state; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her two children, Mrs. Mayberry is survived by her father, W. L. Lewis of Pasadena, Okla.; and two brothers and three sisters out of state.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today in the mortuary. Burial for Mrs. Mayberry will be in Green Acres Cemetery.
