David J. Cazonie, 68, of Minersville, passed away Monday at home.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late John J. and Thelma M. Best Cazonie.

He was educated in St. Francis School, Minersville, and was a graduate of Minersville High School.

He worked in various department stores in the local area.

He was a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville, and New Minersville Fire Company.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Ann Cazonie, at home, and Linda Spotts and her husband, William, Pottsville; a brother, Joseph Cazonie and his wife, Marcella, Minersville; nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St., Minersville. Monsignor William Handges will officiate. Relatives and friends may call from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Minersville. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
