Doris M. Swett, 99, of Southbridge died Friday, June 17th in Southbridge Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Her husband of 32 years, Orrin H. Swett died in 1972. She leaves a daughter, Doris A. Albertson of Southbridge; four grandchildren, Tammy Dupont and her husband, Timothy, Lisa Durgin and her husband, Richard, Donna Prince and her husband, James and Beth Albertson. She also leaves 9 great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Margaret Swett; her son in law, Victor Albertson; four brothers, James, Thomas, Francis and Richard LaRiviere; and two sisters, Alice Boss and Margaret Legacy.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of James and Phoebe (Jacques) LaRiviere. Mrs. Swett worked for over 25 years at Imperial Distributors. Doris enjoyed spending her time crocheting making afghans.
Calling hours are Tuesday, June 21st from 11:30 until 12:30 PM in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a service to follow at 12:30 PM. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster Street, Worcester.
