Preceded in death by his father, Martin O'Phelan (1936); grandmother, Maryrose Fitzpatrick; brother, John O'Phelan (1994); and stepfather, John McGrath. Survived by his beloved mother, Rosemary McGrath, Ann Murphy his friend and companion of 28 yrs; sisters-in-law, Mary Lou & Becky O'Phelan; stepsister, Mary McGrath; stepbrother, Gerald McGrath; 9 nephews & nieces, and 11 grand-nephews & nieces. He attended Cretin H.S. and St. Thomas College, an Eagle Scout, and Korean War Air Force Veteran. Funeral leaving 9:30 AM Saturday from O'HALLORAN & MURPHY SNELLING AVENUE CHAPEL, 575 S. Snelling Ave. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday at ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 51 W. 7th Street. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation 4-8 PM Friday. Memorials preferred.
