YOAKUM - Robert Lee "Bob" Delvige, 71, passed away July 14, 2018 in Pinkerington, Ohio where he has lived for the last 30 years. He was born November 17, 1947 in Lexington, Texas to the late OC Delvige and Sophie Helen (Goetz) Delvige.

Bob graduated from Yoakum High School in 1965 and continued his education at Texas A&M University. He served in the US Army Reserves after college. He traveled through many states as an inspector for the US Department of Agriculture and retired in 2009 after 35 years of service. After retirement in Ohio, he became an avid poet, writing hundreds of poems and having them published. He also enjoyed his special four-legged companions, Cirrus, Nicky & Jip, just to mention a few.

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Delvige (1 month earlier); niece, Cheryl Delvige; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial graveside service 10 a.m., August 25, 2018 at Adina Cemetery (Lexington, Texas) with Freddy Murphy officiating.
