"Aunty Edna" J. Aguil, 83, of Pahala, Hawaii passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010 at her residence. She was born on August 7, 1927, in Pahala, Hawaii. She was a retired School Teacher for Pahala Elementary and gave extensively to the community by donating her time to the following organizations: Pahala Hospital Auxiliary, Ka`ahumanu Society, ILWU Pension Club, Hawaii State Teachers Association (HSTA) and Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was an advisor for the Pahala Filipino Club as well as chairperson for their Scholarship Fund. She was the Kumu Hula and Owner of Hula Halau O Mahealani.
Friends may call on Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, where a Wake service will be held at 7:00 PM. Friends may also call on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at the Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM where a Mass will be held at 10:00 AM. An Urn Committal Service will be held at the Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section) on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 12 noon.
