Death Takes Mrs. Lyon -- (Sept. 6, 1969)
Mrs. Murl Lyon, 56, of 5260 US 31 N., TC, died late Saturday morning at Munson Medical Center after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday .......with burial in Williamsburg cemetery.
Mrs. Lyon, the former Gladys MacDougall, was born April 10, 1913 at Baldwin, the daughter of George and Anne MacDougall, attended Williamsburg High School, and had been a resident of the TC area since 1965.
On February 23, 1933 at TC she was married to Mr. Lyon, who survives.
Also surviving are: a daughter Merla Johnson, two sons, SFC Robert G Lyon, in Vietnam, and S/Sgt. James E. Lyon, Hakata AFB, Japan; seven grandchildren, and five brothers and sisters, Winfred Griffith , Jess MacDougall, Marle Jenks, Abby Bouse, and Elizabeth Hobbs. A daughter, Jean Ann Lyon and her parents preceded Mrs. Lyon in death.
