Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at Landry's Funeral Home in Thibodaux, LA. Visitation will resume at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, LA on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church followed by burial in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Paincourtville, LA.
He is survived by sons, Jerome Cavalier & wife Geraldine, Jessie Cavalier & wife Betty, Pete Cavalier & wife Charlene, Charles Cavalier & wife Anita, Gary Cavalier & wife Sheila; daughters, Rosemary Besson, Lucy Birchfield & husband Bobby; twenty-eight grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 77 years, Emily Simoneaux Cavalier; parents, Lucien Cavalier & Osilia Albarado Cavalier; son, David Cavalier; daughters, Agnes Circello, Gladys Cavalier; eleven brothers; two sisters; sons-in-law, Andrew Besson, Benny Circello, Lloyd Landry.
