J. William Alvord died at the home of G.W. Panton Friday morning after an illness of a year.
Last winter he was injured on one knee by a horse and later blood poisoning set in. He had been treated at the sanitarium. After leaving there he had been in poor health, but death came suddenly.
Mr. Alvord was born in Brookfield 56 years ago, the son of William and Ann Adams Alvord.
He is survived by one brother, Edgar Alvord, and one sister, Mrs. G.W. Panton.
The funeral was held at the Panton home Sunday afternoon…. Burial was in the Brookfield cemetery.
