He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Beulah Mae Harris, brother Don Nowlin, and step-son Ronnie Tucker.
Johnnie B. Nowlin was married to the late Lucy Irene Tucker Nowlin and had two step sons Ronnie Tucker and Ray Tucker. Johnnie had one son with Odie Lee Braden Alexander, John Thomas Nowlin.
He leaves to mourn his loss, brother Charles Nowlin (Ella), son John Thomas Nowlin (Johnny), and step-son Ray Tucker (Janet). As well as, three granddaughters (Cynthia Nowlin, Chanda Yarbrough (Vincent), and Tracey Nowlin (Lee Johnson)), three great grandchildren (Avery Nowlin, Vincent Yarbrough Jr, and Addisyn Yarbrough), two nieces (Johnnie Mae Frazier and Vanessa Jean Webb) and one nephew (Charles Nowlin, Jr). He had several beloved cousins such as William Frank Braden, Mary Louise Braden, and Nora Sue Duke, and dear close friends Liz Anderson and Justin Reese.
Johnnie B Nowlin will be remembered for his love of his family and his dedication to work. He took great pride in his 43 years of work at Cumberland Swan/Vi-Jon and retired with perfect attendance at the young age of 83. Although JB lived in Nashville for the majority of his adult life, he would always make time to drive back home to the country and visit with his family. His kind disposition and frank manner of speaking will be missed by all that knew him.
Body will lay instate at V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, on July 25, 2018 from 12- 6 p.m. Graveside Service July 26, 2018 11 a.m. at Braden Cemetery, Lynnville, TN 38472.
