" J. Marechal Brown, Jr., president of J.M. Brown, Jr. and Co., mill suppliers with headquarters in the Broad Street Station Building, died Sunday at his home, Morris ave., Bryn Mawr. He was 56.

A native of Baltimore, Mr. Brown came to Philadelphia in 1902, entering the employ of the Bell Telephone Co., where he served for 16 years. Later he was connected with Harrison Smith and Co., bankers. He was also a director of the Lebanon Steel and iron Co.

He was a member of the Racquet Club, the Gulph Mills Golf Club and the Rittenhouse Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Phoebe W. Brown; two sons, J. Marechal, 3d, and Louis Page, and a daughter, Mrs. George A. Brakeley, Jr., of New York."

Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Govans, on Wednesday at 2 P. M."
