Maggie Frye Poole, 89, of 2209 Newton Dr., Statesville, died Friday, January 16, 2004, at Iredell Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Born June 9, 1914, in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Zella Drum Frye. She was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist church and prior to her retirement was employed at Beauty Maid Mills. She attended Iredell County schools.
She was married to Grady Poole, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Dean Poole of Statesville; one daughter, Mrs. Shelby Jean Poole Campbell of Rock Hill, S.C.; one sister, Mrs. Trillis Frye Queen of Statesville; two brothers Woodrowe and Hubert Frye of Statesville; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Gary Marshall. The family will be at their respective residence and will receive friends at Reavis Funeral Home in Statesville tonight from 7-8:30 p.m.
