Billie Lemar Barmore Sr., 83 years 8 months and 10 days of age, of Powder Springs, Georgia, departed this life on Friday evening, July 27th, 2018 at the Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.
Billie was born in Marietta, Georgia on Saturday, November 17th, 1934, to loving parents, the late Willie Clyde Barmore Sr. and Flora Estelle Prewett Barmore. Billie served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a maintenance manager at Village Green Apartments for many years. He was a strong supporter of veteran organizations, a member of Am Vets Post#118 and loved to travel.
Billie was survived by one son, Bill (and wife, Brenda) Barmore Jr.; two grandsons, Chris (and Lanie) Barmore and Mike (and Chaitali) Barmore; two step-grandsons, Taylor Bennett and Travis Bennett; one great-grandchild, Kayleigh Barmore; one sister, Shirley Barmore Gray; and a host other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Billie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Clyde Barmore Sr., who departed this life on October 28th, 2002 and Flora Estelle Barmore, who departed this life on January 25th, 1987; his beloved wife, Edna Irene Murdock Barmore, whom he married on June 25th, 1955 and she departed this life on May 29th, 1996; one infant son, David J. Barmore, who was born into enteral life on January 12th, 1960 ; and two brothers, Willie Clyde Barmore Jr., who departed this life on October 20th, 1988 and Johnnie Eugene Barmore Sr., who departed this life on December 4th, 2000.
Visitations were held from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29th, 2018 at the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home in Dallas, Georgia.
Funeral services were conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29th, 2018 in the Chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Hicks officiating.
Interment followed in the Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
