Sluice Point - Mrs. Anne Charlotte Moulaison wife of the late Joseph Moulaison died around one o'clock Monday morning, December 8th at home, after a long illness, she turned 90 years old on August 30th.
Daughter of the late Jean Athanase Fitzgerald of Comeau's Hill, she never had children but she adopted two, Anthony Eakins who lost his live in the vessel Eleanor Nickerson which sank outside of Boston twenty years ago, and Ella Brown who married Raymond Babin, who died several years ago, of this union, they had eight children, and she adopted another three, Leo Babin, with whom she lived, Lawrence who was killed in Germany in the Second World War and Mrs. Enos Bourque (Julia) of this village mourn her as well as the five other children of Mrs. Babin who called her grandmother; she also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Adeline Moulaison of this village, Mrs. Albert Clements and Mrs. Freeman DeViller of Comeau's Hill, and two brothers, Anselm and Henry Fitzgerald of Little River, Yarmouth County. Her husband predeceased her 15 years ago. An affable character always happy with a smile on the lips, she was loved by all who knew her.
The funeral service was held Wednesday at St. Joseph's Church in Surette's Island with Rev. Father L. Gaudet priest. The funeral was under the direction of H. Huskilson of Yarmouth. All who knew her say a prayer for the repose of her soul.
