Anna and Lowell lived in Pueblo until 1946 when they moved their young family to California. They settled in Bakersfield, where they raised 6 children. They were married for 37 years, until Lowell's passing in 1980. In 1986, Anna married Jack Hilton. Through that marriage, Anna gained a daughter, Jan. Anna and Jack were married until his passing in 1992.
Anna worked as a secretary at Bakersfield High School. She left briefly to work as the registrar at West High School when it opened in 1965. She returned to BHS where she worked until her retirement.
