Age 79 Years, 5 Months, 20 Days. There are two legends as to how C H Dickerson came to be buried here. One says he was a cowboy and died while passing through the countryside. Two says he was digging or cleaning out a well. It caved in and smothered him, so they filled it in and it became his grave. This is a lone grave in the middle of a field on Washita County Oklahoma Road NS219 and EW123 and to the south of this intersection and just a little west. It's a very nice stone and you can see the emblem of the Mason sign on the top of the grave. There is no birth date but it is marked as being 79 years 5 months and 20 days old.

28 Nov 2015, Talked to a neighbor and he stated that this man died on a cattle trail drive taking cattle from Texas to Kansas and he died while on the trail and they buried him here and he went without a stone for a while and I told him about the masonic emblem on the tombstone and he thinks that the Mason's may have put the tombstone there. He don't know for sure but since this man was cowhand on a cattle drive . There is another memorial for this grave also and the story with that one is this man was digging a well and fell in and they just buried him here and covered in the well. Have no idea what story is correct and I cannot find anything on ancestry on this man.
