Born in Charlotte, N.C., she lived and worked there her entire life. She began work at Peerless, Inc., at the age of 18 and remain employed there as Office Manager until her retirement in her 70's. Peerless was her pride and joy and she made sure it demonstrated the attributes of honesty and integrity she herself possessed. She worked hard, but always found the time to laugh and enjoy life.
