Regina's family came to Oklahoma by wagon when she was a baby, and they settled on a farm outside Canute. She worked in the fields, learned to cook and sew at an early age. She also learned the importance of faith and devotion to God and family.
Regina graduated from Canute High School and attended business school in OKC. She married Dick Landguth, Oct. 9, 1945, and had 52 loving years together. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Girl Scout leader, longtime member of church ladies group, and Happy Hearts Senior group. In 2006, she was voted a Woman of Achievement, from the Archdiocese. Her life was spent serving God through her family, friends, church and country.
Regina is preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her parents; eight brothers and sisters, Henry, Bill, Ralph, Paul, Louise, Anna, Cecila, Lavina; and sister-in-law, Barbara.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn and Rick Fabian of Yukon, Mark and Joan Landguth of LaJolla, CA, LaNell and Bill James of Chickasha; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mercedes and Richard Haubach of Pittsburgh, PA, and Bernita Moulton of Winter Park, FL.
An evening prayer service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at 7:00 pm, and a Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, May 3, 2007, at 10:00 am, both at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in OKC. Interment will follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in OKC.
