IRON RIVER – Funeral services for Charles Franklin Knisely, 62, who was killed Thursday afternoon in Escanaba while helping to erect a steel frame window that fell on him, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home, 107 Adams street. The Rev. Axel Anderson, pastor of the Iron River Baptist church, will officiate. Interment will be in Iron Mountain, where one of his sons is buried.
Mr. Knisely died from a fractured skull. He was killed instantly.
Mr. Knisely was born in Oconto, Wis. on March 8, 1874. He came to Iron River 16 years ago and was wedded to Miss Margaret Andreasen of Iron River on May 12, 1927. He was employed in Escanaba the last five months.
He is survived by his widow Margaret and a son Robert of this city. He also leaves two brothers, William and Robert of Oconto; and two sisters, Mrs. Menting of Kaukauna, Wis. and Mrs. Myrtle Weaver of Kenosha. He is survived by his father, Franklin Knisely of Oconto.
