First name is hard to distinguish but it could be JAs (superscript s) which would mean JamesThe son of William and Elizabeth Stewart Storie of Scotland. He was one of the first of the Storie family to sail to North America.

In January 1825 he and several other men signed a bond in which each passenger was bound; L36 (Pounds) for each male, L30 for wives, L16 for each child with interest in cash or produce.

They embarked at Greenock, Renfrewshire aboard the ship "Niagara". On May 27th they were met in Montreal by Chief Archibald McNab, who had established the township of McNab where the pioneers were expected to establish homes.

They traveled mostly on foot through virgin forests to the area of the Ottawa and Madawaska Rivers. On June 23rd they arrived at what is now Arnprior Warf. Once there they helped establish the area for further immigrants from Renfrewshire, Scotland.

Married 1813 (1) Margaret Clarke
2 children; Robert "Black Bob", and William Storie
Married 1827 (2)Isabella Cockburn
2 children; Jame "Long Jimmie" S., and Elizabeth Storie.
