James C. Albritton, 36, of Lehigh Acres, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2006. He was born April 2, 1970 in San Antonio, TX and moved to Lehigh Acres from Sarasota in 2002. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Gulf War in Desert Storm. In 2003, he was called up to serve at McDill Air Force Base where he provided security for Special Operations Command in Operation Noble Eagle. During part of that mission, he also served in Washington, D.C. and Fort Bliss, TX where he was the Air Defense Artillery Crew Chief. He was currently serving in the Florida Army National Guard. Mr. Albritton is survived by his wife, Cheryl of three years; their children: Cheri Proffer, Andrew Urbec and Chyann Albritton; his mother: Joyce Albritton; his brothers: Robert and John Barnett and his sister: Cindi Jackson. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Farley Memorial Funeral Home, 1100 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres with burial to follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Friends will be received from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Farley Memorial Funeral Home, 239-369-2181.
