She passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 12 days.
Lena was united in marriage to Jesse Austin Pulliam on August 18, 1934 and to this union 7 children were born.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents Jethro and Lottie Tipton; her husband Jesse Austin Pulliam; two sons Lonnie Ray Pulliam and Donnie Gene Pulliam; two brothers Johnny Tipton and Edgar Tipton; three grandsons Ricky Pulliam, Rondal Pulliam, Jr., and Donald Pulliam; one great grandson David Pulliam and one great granddaughter Emily Pulliam.
Lena is survived by four sons. one daughter, three brothers, and one special sister-in-law.
She also leaves to mourn her passing, 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
Lena Mae loved to garden, can, and was an avid quilter until her eyesight failed in 1995.
She loved to talk and maintained her sense of humor until the end.
She was truly interested in her children and grand children s lives and kept track of all the activities they were involved in.
She was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed.
Graveside services were held Friday, April 27, 2007 at the Freeman Cemetery in Fremont , MO with Otto Faust officiating, under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home.
