Richard W.Mayfield
Of Mequon, known as “Moses” to many, died peacefully on August 1, 2018 at the age of 68 with his wife at his side. Beloved husband of Tracy (nee Schley) for thirty-four years. Devoted father of Melissa, and brother of Charlie (Erika) Mayfield. He is further survived by family members Bob (Cato) Schley and Steve (Lynne) Schley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Mary Lou Mayfield , and brother, Bob.

Born and raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, he graduated from St. Lawrence University. He began his career in sales at Bemis Corporation. Later he and two friends founded the innovative Monarch Products Co. He retired following the sale of Monarch to Johnson and Johnson.

Richard loved riding his motorcycles, and he treasured his dogs. He was a long time member of The Town Club and North Shore Congregational Church.

Family will greet friends at North Shore Congregational Church, 7330 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point on Thursday, August 16th at 1:00 pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 pm.

Entombment will be private for the family. Memorials in Richard’s name would be appreciated to: Wisconsin Humane Society, 4500 W. Wisconsin Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53208, St. Lawrence University, 23 Romoda St., Canton, NY 13617, North Shore Congregational Church or the charity of your choice appreciated.
