Dale Guthrie passed away in Lakeway, Texas on March 15, 2017 in his front yard, beside his Susan.

He loved his family and a great game of golf. He was a devoted father and a loyal friend. Dale had a stunning intellect balanced by a sense of humor. He was honest and straight forward -- at times to a fault , but always very fair.

A man of great integrity who chose to do things the honorable way, and by all accounts his life was well and fully lived. Dale had a contagious smile and his laugh would light up the room. Dale had a kind and outgoing heart. He had a way about him that made people feel they were special, and he was proud to have them in his life. Dale was especially proud of his children and would get a twinkle in his eye when he would talk about them.

Dale was born to Bob and Ann (Wilson) Guthrie on November 22, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Austin, Texas, and attended Southwest Texas State from 1978-1981. He was co-owner of Pagosa Builders, and worked as a development consultant.

Dale is survived by his four children and two grandchildren: Kenneth Guthrie of Las Vegas, NV; Calley Gaskins and husband Ryan, granddaughter Chloe of El Paso, TX; Keeton O'Rourke and husband Saffon, granddaughter Reagan of Lago Vista, TX; Carson Guthrie of Lakeway, TX.
Dale is survived by his parents Bob and Ann Guthrie, his brother Gregory Guthrie and wife Julia, his sister Tammy Parnell and husband Jeff. Neices and Nephews; Brooke and George Morgan, Taylor Parnell, Anthony Guthrie and wife Evelyn, great nephew Ryan, Grant Guthrie, Grayson Guthrie.

And too many friends to mention.

Dale will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
