Johnny Morris Ogle, 87, of Cleveland, TN passed away on August 4, 2018.
He was born on June 19, 1931 to the late Jonas and Winnie Mae Ogle.
Johnny was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church as well as a Sunday School Teacher. Johnny was an avid reader and enjoyed being in the mountains. His pride and joy was his family and he loved spending time with them. His 3 great granddaughters were the light of his life!
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his wife JoAnn Copeland Ogle; infant daughter Patricia Kay Ogle; sister Gladys Clark; brothers Harold Ogle, Ray Ogle, Charles Ogle, and Jim Ogle.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory two children: John Ogle (Jamie) and Donna Prueitt; grandchildren: Travis Ogle (Shar), Micah Ogle (Chelsea), Holli Pruiett, and Katie Maxwell (Alex); great grandchildren: Scarlett Ogle, Reagan Ogle, and Cadence Ogle. In addition to these, Johnny leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday August 9, 2018 at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 7:00pm. Interment will be held at 10:30am on Friday August 10, 2018 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Buster Ogle, Jimmy Ogle, Darrell McBryar, Norman Young, Cecil Walker, and Fred Schultz will serve as honorary pallbearers.
