Bertha A. Tarantino, 90, of Quakertown, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of William Tarantino. They were married 59 years in April. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Xavier and Tekla (Gabor) Jasinski.
She was last employed as a seamstress for the former Royal Pants Co. in Perkasie. She was a member of the Union of Polish Women in America and a member of the Quakertown American Legion Post 242 Ladies Auxiliary. Bertha was an avid bingo player and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and gardening. She was a member of St. Isidores Catholic Church in Quakertown.
Survivors: Husband; son, William M. and his wife Linda E. of Hatfield; a sister, Stella Swierzewski of Pennsburg; a grandchild, Amanda Marie. She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia and a brother, Raymond.
Services: A Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. Isidores Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown. Call Monday evening, 7-8:30 p.m. in the C. R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc. (www.crstrunk.com), 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown and Tuesday 9-10 a.m. in the church.
