Doris Ann King, 85, of Greenbush died on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at home.
She was born on May 14, 1933 in Rella, Ky. to Thomas and Adina (Emory) Tuttle.
She married Bill King Jr. on June 10, 1954.
Mrs. King worked for Stanley Doors in Birmingham, Mich. for over 25 years.
In 1999, she proudly obtained her G.E.D. at the age of 66.
She was an active member of the Oscoda United Methodist Church and was a part
of the women’s sewing club. She was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting, crocheting
and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. King is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Alan) Bridget, Lillian (Phil)
Miller and Donna (Mike) Harrison; three sons, Vincent (Lorna) King, Bruce (Karen)
King and Stephen King; 11 grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild;
one brother, William (Caroline) Tuttle; one sister, Mary (Bud) Grubs; and
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; one son, Donald King;
six brothers, Andrew Tuttle, Leonard Tuttle, Frank Tuttle, Delbert Tuttle, Chester Tuttle
and Edward Tuttle; and one sister, Hazel Burkhart.
The funeral was held on August 4 at Buresh Funeral
Home in Oscoda. Interment was in Springport Cemetery in Harrisville.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Oscoda United Methodist Church.
