At the time of his 1903 marriage to Miss Hamel, Mr. McReynolds, a locomotive fireman, was a widower living in Little Rock. Due to the apparent death of Mr. Reynolds soon after this marriage, the widow Emily married Mabry Ludwig Cameron circa 1907. The Camerons moved to Alabama where their son, John H. Cameron, was born in 1912. The Cameron Family Tree of rubybb34 viewed at Ancestry lists this son's given name as John Hamel.
From Arkansas, the Cameron family moved to Tennessee in the 1920s and Mabry L. Cameron passed away 12 April 1929 in Rockwood, Roane County, Tennessee. His Tennessee death certificate indicates that he was at that time a painter, born in Alabama the son of J. D. Cameron and Elizabeth Ludwig.
The following years for the widow and son remain elusive, but suggest a move to the Springfield, Greene County, MO, area where Mrs. Emily Robinson is listed in the 1935 Springfield City Directory; whether this refers to Emily Cameron remains speculative. Emily A. Cameron, widow of Ludwig, is listed in the Springfield Directory in the late 1930s and by 1940, at age 67, she is living with her son and his wife in Springfield.
Records indicate that Emily nee Hamel married Edward Gagel, perhaps in the early 1940s. Mr. Gagel died 19 September 1944, MODC # 30904, in Springfield, MO. He was interred in the Chesterton Cemetery, Chesterton, IN, the cemetery where his parents and others of his family were laid to rest.
After the death of her husband, the widow Mrs. Gagel probably spent the next 24 years in the Dade-Greene counties, MO, area. She died at Lockwood Memorial Hospital, Lockwood, Dade County, MO, 1 April 1966, at the age of 95 years, seven months, and five days. Please note her obituary among photos. She was survived by six grandchildren and her son, John Hamel Cameron.
