He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean McKinstry (1935-2014), his daughter, Barbara McKinstry (1959-1969). and his parents.
Survivors include his sons, Charles B. McKinstry (Jackie) and Barry L. McKinstry (Elouise); grandchildren, Shannon Nicole McKinstry, Michael Burdett McKinstry and Jonathan James McKinstry.
Mr. McKinstry was born April 19, 1935 in Carrollton, Alabama to the late Burdett McKinstry (1910-1988) and Emeline B. McKinstry (1915-1985).
He was a member of Aliceville First Baptist Church, entrepreneur and a well known resident of the Aliceville area. He was an excellent example of a Christian, father, husband and provider who positively impacted many lives.
A private burial will be held at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Aliceville, Alabama.
