Greenwood SC - Abel “A. B.” Blackwell, 74, of 203 Matthews Heights, died Thursday [June 3, 1982]. He was retired from Greenwood Mills. Surviving are his wife, Ethel Mae Davis Blackwell; a son, Mike Blackwell of Greenwood; a daughter, Gail Ann Vines of Columbia; sisters, Nelle Parham of Greenwood, Hazel Medford of Greer, Ollie Felker of Greenville, Swanne Rudisill of Surfside; and a brother, John C. Blackwell of Wellford. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, with Masonic rites. Harley Funeral Home. The Greenville News (Greenville SC), Saturday, June 5, 1982.
