He was born September 29, 1925, in Amberg, Wisconsin, son the the late Fay Rector and Jule Smeester.
Chuck was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II.
Chuck was a businessman, having owned Smeester Oil Co. in Amberg and Culligan Water Conditioning in Iron Mountain. Later in life he worked for Four Seasons Beer Distributing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, May Barker, sister, Fay Adora and brother, William.
Graveside services will be September 8 at the Amberg Cemetery. Mullany-McTrusty American Legion Post 428, Amberg, will accord military honors at graveside.
