Died in Williamston, MI while visiting a brother he had not seen for 43 years. He lived most of his life in Auburn and Skaneateles, NY. His body was shipped to Port Clinton, OH to the home of his son, Charles Ansley Edson who lived on Monroe St. from 1910-1920. John Burnside Edson was buried in Port Clinton's Lakeview Cemetery in 1911 in a numbered grave(?). The location of his grave site was lost in a 1913 records fire.
