Agnes Eva Mathis of Wickenburg, died July 1 in Wickenburg. She was 83.
Mrs. Mathis was born April 7, 1917 in Big Sandy, Texas. She had lived in Arizona for the past 53 years.
Mrs. Mathis moved to the Wickenburg area in 1954. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Wickenburg for many years. She was proud of the years she worked at the Wise Owl Senior Center, and she enjoyed crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters Jean Mason of Wickenburg, and Doris (Midge) Clause of Tucson; sons James of Prescott Valley, Tracey of Show Low, and Keith of Tucson; sister Chris Bransford of Lancaster, Calif.; brothers Al Adair of Victorville, Calif., and Ray Divin of Cottonwood; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Mathis, daughter Pauline Allan, and sons Donald and Jason.
Services were July 7, with burial at the Wickenburg Municipal Cemetery. Pastor Mike Abdollahzadeh officiated.
