Betty passed away peacefully on September 8, 2012 in Kelowna with her loving family at her side, just 48 days short of her 100th birthday. Betty was predeceased by her husband Leicester and son Michael and is survived by her daughter Cindy (Stephen) and grandchildren Sara, Laura (Brad) and Michael, special niece Judy and many other nieces and nephews. Betty was born in Fintry and lived in Okanagan Mission for over 70 years. She has many friends and relations that will always remember her warm smile and ever welcoming home. A very special thanks to Brenda and Basil and the caring staff at Hawthorne Park. A celebration of Betty's life will be held Hawthorne Park (867 KLO Road) in the Oak Room at 2pm on Saturday, September 15, 2012.In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the charity of your choice or The SPCA, 3785 Casorso Road, Kelowna, BC V1W 3M7 or BC Children's Hospital, 4480 Oak Street, Vancouver, V6H 3V5.
