Betty Jean Dunn Adkins was born November 13, 1933 in Jackson County and departed this life Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, being 78 years if age. She was the daughter of the late Willie & Lizzie (Bales) Dunn.
Betty is survived by a son, Roger Dunn and his wife Carolyn of McKee and by a granddaughter, Amy Dunn of McKee. She is also survived by five sisters and three brothers , Bernice Dunn, Shirley Dunn, Rhoda Dunn, Daisey Dunn, Agnes Dunn, Wayne Dunn and Billy Dunn Jr. all of Mckee, Ky. and Farron Carroll of Sand Gap, Ky. She is also survived by the following nieces and nephews Brooke Dunn, Pat Hays, Carolyn Wilder, Chasity Dunn, Roger D. Dunn and Bill Dunn and a host of cousins and friends.
In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Adkins and two brothers David (Doc) Dunn and George Dunn and by her grandparents James and Lutisha Bales and George and Bertha Dunn.
