Jean Grace Andrew (nee Gilbert) passed away peacefully early in the morning of August 15, 2018 at home in Richland with her loving husband and twin sister present. She was a resident of Richland for nearly thirty years after her husband Robert (Bob) accepted a job at the Hanford Site, having moved from Hoquiam, Washington. She was employed as a CNA with KGH Home Health, retiring in 1997, and spent her life helping others as a nurse.

Jean and Bob were married on April 27, 1957 in Des Moines, Washington. He was in the United States Army and is a veteran of the Korean War conflict. They traveled and lived throughout the United States raising four children at various places making a home for the the family in each one.

Jean was born in Livingston, Montana on January 17, 1935 to Dudley and Helen Gilbert. The Gilbert family moved to Vancouver, Washington when her father accepted a job at the Vancouver shipyard during the war years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her half-brothers Irving, Walter, Alford and Lester, and her half-sisters Mary, Evelyn, Dorothy, Arlene and Joyce.

She is survived by her husband Bob, twin sister Joan Rose, sister Kay Gill (Bob), and four children: Paige (Mary), Malcolm (Rico), Bekki (Scott) and Steven (Lisa). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Kimberlie, Patrick, Jeff, Jayme, Ian and Colin, and two great grandchildren, Mikaela and Adam. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as cousins.

A memorial service honoring her life will be held at the family's convenience at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Kennewick, Washington at a later date. Tri-City Herald on Sep. 7, 2018
