We were pained to hear on Sunday last of the death of Mr Eliphalet Chandler, the day before, at his home in this county of Typhoid Fever. He and his brother Samuel, who died a year or two ago, originally came from New Hampshire. He was about 71 years of age.
Buried at Black Springs Cemetery.
Came to Georgia from New Hampshire in 1833 to complete the granite work of the Old State Capitol. He married Miss Elizabeth Hall, who died in a very short time of Typhoid Fever.
