IN MEMORIAM,

BROWNVILLE - Juanita Smith, 89, wife of the late Milton W. Smith, died May 2, 2007, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born July 31, 1917, in Milo, the daughter of Earl and Myrtle (McSorley) Peters. She had been employed at John Lewis Industries for 28 years, Dexter Shoe for 14 years, and Smith's Grocery and Lunch for 19 years, where she will be remembered for her pie making. She was a 50-year member of Echo Chapter No. 98 OES, where she had served as past matron; and a member of the United Baptist Church of Milo. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Milton. She is survived by a son, Milton W. Smith Jr. of Brownville; a daughter, Anita McQuade and her husband, Richard, of Millinocket; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Peters of Marysville, Mich., and Margaret Peters of Brewer; four grandchildren, six great-grand-children, three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 4, at Lary Funeral Home, Milo. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at United Baptist Church of Milo, with the Rev. Rudy Homchuck and the Rev. Ernest Madden officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Three Rivers Ambulance, P.O. Box 432, Milo, ME 04463.
