William Alexander Ackerson, 50, of 89 Honu Court, Northport-Charlotte, Fla., formerly of 9 Colonial Rd., Stamford, died Friday at Stamford Hospital. He was born in the Bronx, N.Y., June 27, 1925, son of Mrs. Joanne Kelly of St. Petersburg, Fla., and the late Albert Ackerson.

A resident of Stamford most of his life, the deceased had lived in Northport-Charlotte for the past six months. He had been employed for 23 years as an estimator for County Ironworks of Westchester, Inc. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Surviving him are his mother; his wife, Edna Stramandinoli Ackerson of the home address; a son, William Ackerson Jr. of Stamford; a daughter, Miss Kathleen Ackerson of Stamford; a brother, Albert Ackerson of East Haven, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Savage of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Walter White of Miami, Fla.

A funeral service will be held Monday from the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave, at 8:20am, to St. Maurice Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery in Springdale. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7-9 and Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. © The Daily Advocate, Stamford, CT, 13 Sep 1975
