A resident of Stamford most of his life, the deceased had lived in Northport-Charlotte for the past six months. He had been employed for 23 years as an estimator for County Ironworks of Westchester, Inc. He was a World War II Navy veteran.
Surviving him are his mother; his wife, Edna Stramandinoli Ackerson of the home address; a son, William Ackerson Jr. of Stamford; a daughter, Miss Kathleen Ackerson of Stamford; a brother, Albert Ackerson of East Haven, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Savage of Baltimore, Md., and Mrs. Walter White of Miami, Fla.
A funeral service will be held Monday from the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave, at 8:20am, to St. Maurice Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9.
