Mr. Joseph Nicholas Zompetti, age 71 of Douglas, passed away Friday morning, August 17, 2018 at Vista Park following a short illness. Mr. Zompetti was born March 12, 1947 to the late Carl Zompetti and the late Josephine Ceccarelli Zompetti

Mr. Zompetti, a native of Marlborough, Massachusetts, was a US Navy Veteran. He was a member of Springdell Baptist Church in Lancaster, SC.

Survivors include: his wife: Stacie Butcher Zompetti of Douglas, GA.; 4 Children: Joseph Zompetti, Jr. and Linda Ready both of MA.; Susie Zompetti of FL.; Aaron Khan of Aiken, SC.; 8 Grandchildren: Richard "JJ" Fearing, Jessie Christine, Joey Tower, Kayla Marie, Barry Boulanger, Christian Zompetti, Madison Khan and Zachery Khan. Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.

The funeral service were held, Sunday afternoon, August 19, 2018, at 3:00 P.M. at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with Rev. David L. Bowen officiating. The Inurnment follow at a later date.

Ricketson 9Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Josephine Ceccarelli Zompetti was born 12-11-1901 and died 12-14-1982 in Nevada at the age of 80.
Burial for both are unknown.

Carl was the son of Joseph Zompetti who was born about 1865 in Italy, and Agnes Zompetti born about 1866 in Italy. They were both naturalized citizens of the US. Burial unknown for both. No further info on Agnes Zompetti.
