Father: George W. Myer
Mother: Mary Jane Murray
1st Husband: Henry Maguire
2nd Husband: Thomas F. Erdman
Researchers have indicated her name or nickname was Fannie. Some have suggested "Annie" I've only found "Frances S" as her name in official documents or newspaper clippings. Frances was daughter of George W Myer, a retail grocer in Baltimore. She and sister, Mary, married brothers. Mary married James Rodwell Maguire, Frances married Henry Maguire. Both men were prominent business men, proprietors of the Maguire Sail Company in Baltimore, prior to the 1900s. Their father, Uriah Maguire was also a part of the Sail Company.
Following the untimely death of Henry Maguire, at the end of 1899, the widowed Frances Maguire married Thomas F Erdman, of Baltimore in late March of 1900. The 1900 US Census indicates Frances and most of her children were enumerated in the Erdman household, under the surname, Erdman. A note of interest: Frances had begun court proceedings to divorce Henry, prior to his death. She sought custody of their 5 children. Source - Baltimore Sun.
A January 18, 1903 Edition of the Baltimore Sun newspaper reports how daughter Mamie Maguire, eloped to Washington DC, to marry Albert Cooper. Mamie's mother was mentioned in the article as being Mrs. Thomas Erdman.
In June of 1909, Frances passed. She is buried in the same Cemetery as her daughter, Charlotte Lee "Lottie" Maguire Coard.
After Frances' death, her husband, Thomas, remarried.
